Welcome to the website for the Narrowboat Molly-II, owned by David and Kay Large.
Molly II was commissioned in July 2004, construction started in February 2005 and she was launched 17th May 2005 at Braunston. After launch we moored at Bottom Lock Braunston for many years and were happy with this, but the leaving and entering the mooring was troublesome as we were stern to the bank.
Some friends who have a boat, moved to Barby Moorings and after a visit we followed, not a great move if we are honest but it gave a change of scenery. Our mooring was on the island with the Alpacas which was always interesting at night when they loomed out of the dark when walking the dog!
Whilst at Barby we saw that Dunchurch Pools was to be built, we watched this happen and as soon as we could we visited, very much liked what we saw and agreed to be one of the very first to sign up for five years. Dunchurch is perfect for us and we hope to stay for a long time.
